I Created a Travel Budget Tool … Check It Out?

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on a new feature for our travel site, TripLazy, that makes it easier to plan and budget for trips. If you’re curious, you can take a look at it here.

Just pick your destination, input your budget and trip length, and it will give you an estimated travel budget. It also provides useful info about your destination to help you get ready. I wanted to gather data from around the world to make trip planning simpler. If you try it out,

It says a 7-day trip in the US would be $1500 for a mid-range budget? Like, that’s not even enough for 7 days in a decent hotel in any popular place and definitely not luxury…

I’m curious, what sources does the tool use for the data (like Trip Advisor, hotels.com, Google Reviews, etc.)?

Thanks for asking! We base our tool on a unique index we created by looking at various factors like income levels, cost of living, and everyday expenses in each country, including things like Netflix subscriptions. We’re working on making it even better by incorporating user feedback. Stay tuned for updates!

Are you going to just overlook my post? Your tool says a 7-day trip to the Maldives would cost about $2000, and that transportation would be less than $350.

I didn’t mean to ignore your post. After seeing your concern about the Maldives budget, I realized there was an issue. I’m working on improving the dataset and calculation logic. Thank you for pointing that out.
