Where’s the best place to stay in Mayakoba?

I’ve read plenty of reviews but wanted to see what you all think. I’m mainly looking at the top four resorts but leaning toward Banyan Tree. We like a great property but also enjoy activities. Any advice? And can you eat at the other resorts if you stay at one?

I’m all about the Rosewood Mayakoba—been there five times, and it’s amazing every time! The spa is beautiful, maybe the best I’ve ever seen. Service is top-notch across the board. Beach isn’t the best, but we’re more of a pool family anyway.

Rosewood is my go-to. The service and food are excellent, and the activities and room setups are well thought out. You can definitely visit the other properties for meals.

I stayed at Rosewood for a week last year and loved it! We tried out the other resorts for dinner, but I honestly preferred the dining at Rosewood. There’s lots to do, and we used the bikes to explore the whole area. The staff went above and beyond!

I stayed at Rosewood but felt a bit envious when we visited Banyan Tree—it’s such a beautiful place! Made me wonder if paying 2-3 times as much for Rosewood was worth it. The beach at Rosewood is not great unless you’re at the adults-only part, then it’s a different story.

Rosewood Mayakoba all the way. Such an incredible place!

I love the Banyan Tree! The food was awesome, and the villa rooms were very nice. We did try the Mexican grill night at Rosewood, and it was a great experience too. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with either one.

Another vote for Rosewood! We went twice for our anniversaries with our kids, and it was perfect. The staff, food, and property are all outstanding. If you go, take a day trip to Tulum for cenotes and rent a catamaran in Isla Mujeres—the water is unreal!

Rosewood, 100% my pick.
