We love the food and service on Qatar Airways. However, the amenities can get repetitive over time, so we don’t appreciate them as much as we did when we first started flying with them. What do you all think of their business class? Any experiences to share?
Qsuites were fantastic for our family. It was me, my wife, and two kids under 4. They gave us two seats in the center, took down the half wall, and turned our two suites into one big one with a huge bed. It was great—kids could lie down and sleep while we relaxed.
What I love most about Qatar business class is that there are no set meal times. I can order anything on the menu at any time. It’s like eating at a restaurant in the sky. The overall quality is solid—better than most like Swiss, Lufthansa, and United. I’d say Qatar business class is in the same tier as Emirates, but not quite as nice as Singapore Airlines.
Ate like 3 orders of the lamb belly on one flight
Qsuites - 10/10
I haven’t tried Qsuites yet, but I’d love to. I’ve flown Singapore Airlines many times and am really curious to compare. One concern I have is reading about Qatar Airways doing equipment swaps. I’ve heard that a lot of their planes don’t have Qsuites, and even if you book a Qsuite business, it could be swapped for a non-Qsuite plane. Has this happened to anyone here on this forum?
I live in Qatar and fly often. They do mention it at the time of booking if you book directly with Qatar Airways. I get Qsuites about 75% of the time.
Yes, this has happened to me multiple times. It’s really frustrating because you have no recourse. You pay for a Qsuite and end up with a broken seat, broken lamp, etc. But honestly, when you do get the Qsuite, it’s amazing.
Is it worth the gamble haha
Hard to say if it’s worth the gamble. What you need to know is that you’re only guaranteed a seat, not a Qsuite. There are different seat configurations if you’re traveling with a spouse. Sometimes you’re side by side, sometimes back to back. Out of four flights, one was bad, one was perfect, and two were very good.
Qsuites are great. I don’t really have a strong preference between them and Singapore Airlines, but those two are definitely my favorites. (I’ve only flown about 9 or 10 of them though.)
