My partner and I recently stayed at Zannier’s villas in Cambodia and Vietnam (Phum Baitang and Bai San Ho).
We loved them! The peace and quiet were unmatched, especially since it was the slow season, and we had the beach almost entirely to ourselves.
That said, their style leans heavily into nature. While luxurious, it may not be for everyone. For example, there’s the occasional animal mess on the beach benches, limited air conditioning, and long walks or rides between spots.
I haven’t stayed at an Aman before, so I’m curious. Does Aman offer a similar experience or is it a completely different level of luxury (like more modern and high-end)?
Aman is ultra-luxury for sure, and the price reflects that! Their service is consistent across the globe. If you’re looking for a similar vibe, you might also like COMO properties. It really depends on what you want from each trip. For example, Jade Mountain in St. Lucia has that nature-focused feel you mentioned—no AC but breathtaking views of the Pitons. Like you said, it all depends on the traveler!
Not all Amans stick to the minimalist style. For instance, Amangalla and Amantaka have a different vibe, and some Amans have had occasional service hiccups. If you liked Zannier’s vibe, you might also enjoy Buahan in Bali. It’s a similar nature-focused experience.
