Looking for a warm winter getaway?

Hi there!
My husband and I run an event planning company in Italy.
Summer is super busy for us, so we can’t travel or enjoy our time off during that season.

That’s why we plan trips in winter (from November to February) and prefer warm or hot places where we can relax, explore, and take a break from our heavy workload. This helps us as a couple too.

We also have a 2-year-old and are planning a short trip to Spain with him.
This winter getaway is just for me and my husband (please, no judgment).

Our budget is around €12,000 to €15,000 but we can be flexible.
We want to go for one week, ideally to a nice 5-star or a beautiful 4-star hotel.

Outside of Europe, we’ve visited:

  • Indonesia
  • Thailand
  • Mauritius (Four Seasons)

Can you suggest a destination and a hotel or resort you recommend?

Thanks!

P.S. I work all over Italy, so feel free to ask me anything!

How about the Six Senses in the Seychelles? But keep in mind those months can be rainy. January and February are great for the Maldives. I recommend The Nautilus (they have a good promo right now), the Four Seasons at Landaa Giraavaru, or Como Cocoa Island.

For the Caribbean, Anguilla is lovely too. My favorites there are the Four Seasons, Malliohana, or Cap Jaluca.

Lastly, Curaçao might be a good choice, and I’d suggest Baoase! Enjoy your travels!

Hey, you must be super busy with clients in the summer and throughout the year. It’s great that you’re planning some time for yourselves! If you want warmth, I suggest St. Barths, St. Lucia, or Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean. The Zil Pasyon Six Senses in Seychelles is nice too. If you’re feeling adventurous, there are fantastic properties in Sri Lanka as well. Good luck, and let me know if you need more info!

No judgment at all! I have an 18-month-old and take him everywhere too. I agree with the others! Another option is Mexico. Rosewood Mayakoba is family-friendly and has plenty of activities!

Trancoso in Brazil is a great spot to relax by the beach.

Check out Fasano Trancoso (they have a hotel in Rio too) or Uxua. You won’t regret it.

The culture is similar to Italy since Brazilians are friendly and love to chat.

You can fly into Rio and then take another flight to Porto Seguro. Another option is flying into Recife with TAP and then catching a flight to Porto Seguro.

Let me know if you have any questions, happy to help!

I would totally recommend Spain or Greece. I have a similar situation as you. Thanks to Alotea Concierge, they handled everything for me, and my trip turned out amazing. I highly recommend them!
